Staying Hydrated For Your Health

The Rochester summer has been a hot one! Hydration is definitely important in weather like this, however, it's just as important for Physical Therapy too!

The reason is because many ailments we see and treat are muscular in nature and hydration plays a giant role in muscle health. Every get dehydrated and have a muscle cramp? This is your muscle involuntarily contracting. It's a sign of depleted electrolytes and dehydration. Muscles also tend to be more tense and tight when someone isn't hydrated. This can additionally contribute to soreness as well!
