Fibromyalgia is a disorder characterized by widespread muscle pain and tenderness. As a result, those that suffer from Fibromyalgia may experience fatigue, altered sleep, memory fog, and mood changes. Although fibromyalgia has no permanent cure, physical therapy is a widely utilized practice to help remedy the pain stemming from the ailment. Using a variety of massage, ice and heat we can treat tender and sore parts of the body. For fibromyalgia, this typically occurs up in the neck, shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees. PT also can assist with stretching and flexibility in those areas as well. Coping with fibromyalgia is difficult. Our hope here at BURD is that we can get your body to a better place where life is not completely overtaken by the symptoms of fibromyalgia.
